Ryan Roberts

Ryan Roberts is a children’s book writer and soon-to-be host of the podcast MY FAVORITE KIDS BOOK, where Ryan interviews people from all walks of life about their favorite children’s book. Childhood reading increases empathy, knowledge, curiosity, and imagination. Do children’s books have the power to change the world? Ryan Roberts thinks so!

Ryan has been a lot of things including a veterinarian, a whitewater raft guide, a professional Mad Scientist, a radio DJ, and a roller derby player. Since having her daughter and discovering the world of children’s books, her new dream is to be a children’s book author and to live a life immersed in children’s literature.

Ryan is a proud member of 12×12. When she first joined, she felt like she had finally found “her people”! No matter how hectic life becomes, 12×12 is a constant- always there to keep driving her forward towards her goals.

Ryan’s favorite thing about being an elf is welcoming new people to 12×12 and helping them learn how 12×12 can best serve their needs.

Besides 12×12, Ryan has been a member of SCBWI, Storyteller Academy, and the Lyrical Language Lab. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, daughter, and little dog, Buzz.
