Hannah Holt is a children’s author with an engineering degree. Her picture books weave together her love of literature and lifelong learning. They include, The Diamond and the Boy (HarperCollins), A Father’s Love (Penguin), and A History of Underwear with Professor Chicken (Macmillan). Over a decade ago, she decided to try this thing called writing for children. Little did she know, it would be addicting. Since then she’s been selected as an author for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, won the Flame Challenge from the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, and spoken to thousands of school children. She also believes in giving back to the kidlit community and is a four-time Picture Book Chat mentor, six-time 12×12 critique ninja, and has published several children’s literature informational surveys. A life goal outside writing is to qualify for the Boston Marathon–a goal she always seems to fall a little short on, but she keeps trying. She lives in Oregon with her husband, four children, and a very patient cat named Zephyr. Hannah is represented by Jennifer March Soloway of the Andrea Brown Literary Agency.
