Beth Stockdale

Beth Stockdale is a professional nanny, author, and songwriter. She writes children’s fiction and informational fiction picture books and also enjoys illustrating. As an Elf for 12 x 12, she assists in the “Critique Connect,” “General Discussion,” and “Events and Replay Links” categories in the 12 x 12 forum. She also engages in Picture Book Summit’s podcasts, videos, and annual summit, and she is a member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers & Illustrators.

Beth enjoys reading picture books, cooking new recipes, going for walks, eating chocolate, drinking coffee and wine, and indulging in a sweet dessert. Her favorite is Crème brûlé. Her favorite color is red because red is powerful! She also loves fluffy white clouds and a beautiful blue sky. Nothing gives Beth more pleasure than vacationing at the beach, looking out at the beautiful horizon. She loves animals and cares very deeply about conservation efforts.

One day Beth hopes to go whale watching and look straight into a blue whale’s eye and say, “Hi-de-ho, blue whalie-o.”
