Can somebody please explain to me how it is the end of September? I feel like I just got back from Italy (and dropping my daughter off at school) yesterday, even though that was August 31st. I am considerably disappointed that I did not write a new draft this month, BUT I did a lot of revision, including my first round of revisions after editorial feedback on my PB bio. I was delighted that the requested changes were both fairly minor and very manageable. With any luck, I’ll be done or close to done and it can be turned over to an illustrator. I also worked on revisions for another manuscript I’m hoping to get to submission-ready by the end of this month. All in all, it feels good to make forward progress, even without a new draft. 🙂
Tell us YOUR progress. Did you complete a draft and/or revision in September? Let us know in the Rafflecopter and in the comments. September Featured Author Nadia Salomon is giving away prizes to three lucky winners! One winner will win a copy of GOODNIGHT GANESHA. Another winner will receive a choice of a critique or a write-in session (3 hrs to write a draft or revise a draft). A third winner will win a Swag pack with some items mentioned in the story (the designs of the bag and journal may vary). The swag pack is a small canvas bag with a journal, an art print, Nana’s chai recipe card, and a packet of Marigold seeds.
Thanks for giving back in a BIG way, Nadia!

Today was a great day for me and 12×12. Nadia’s wonderful post, Juana’s incredible webinar, and the good company of members there has lifted my heart and inspired my day. I wrote a first September draft yesterday and revised a few manuscripts this month. Thanks for being the reason, 12×12.
September was a speedster! I know that the rest of the year will zip and leave me in the dust. I did write a draft for September and I worked on a couple of revisions. I’m looking forward to PBSummit 2021!
September was a dragged out one for me and I am glad it’s over. Looking ahead to October and what it will bring. I managed to do a revision and draft early in the first week of September, and plan to do that again before my month gets crazy busy again!
Feel very lucky for a productive September: wrote a new draft and multiple revisions to other stories. Reading Nadia’s post was inspiring and informative: I loved the breakdown of how her critique group used their retreat time and how the stories they workshopped have progressed.
Can’t wait to watch the replay of today’s webinar. Bummed I missed it live!
Can’t believe that September is ending! I revised several manuscripts but didn’t write anything new.
I wrote a few new drafts and kept revising a manuscript I have been working on all month! It flew by!
Managed to squeeze in a new draft within the last couple of days of the month (phew!). Most of my writing time was on revisions, but like everyone else, I don’t know where the month went. I also submitted to a couple of agents and have already got one pass, but hey, we keep on going no matter how many times we get knocked down … don’t we???
September went on and on and on … and it also FLEW BY! How is it possible that one month can do both simultaneously?? I began a few new manuscripts, revised one, submitted one to an editor, and submitted to a critique opportunity. So great to feel part of a larger group with the same dream of writing books kids will love!
I am so glad I found this today. I have loved the webinars and the journeys other writers have taken and hope my many many years get me to that point. The photos of Italy and the news that women eating alone there cause a stir and whispers. I loved following your photo journey as well. You are so brave to take your daughter there for school and stay by yourself and enjoy the sights and the food. Thank you
What a phenomenal idea. I love workshops with this type of intensity and am forever balancing the cost. Doing this with CPs ensures excellent feedback and keeps the costs down. Love it! Thanks for your post.
I’m surprised at how much I got done in September. I’m now looking forward the PB Summit. Have my snacks organised and will make a cup of coffee to keep me awake for my 3am start. Anything is possible..
This month has been more of the same with Drs appointments, x-rays, and various tests…3 more to go… so far all reports are good. I did manage to write a very rough draft of a Storystorm idea and I also revised two of last years Storystorm manuscripts
September was a blurr. I am not sure I even had a thought of a new story, let alone the time to write one. I stuck with revisions instead.
