BOO! It’s the scariest day of the year – when we realize there are just two months left in 12 x 12 for the year. 🙂 I hope you are all having a Happy Halloween AND are celebrating having written and revised this month. I revised a couple of manuscripts for workshops, but did not write anything new. Hoping to change that in November!

Happy Halloween! It has been a busy month and not necessarily working on my stories. With the beginning of the holiday season my world got very complicated. I hope I can get back on track soon just to save my sanity.
I can’t believe we are already heading into November! I completed a revision to a manuscript I almost gave up on. But I’m really happy with it now! I’m hoping my momentum will continue!
I’ve been working on a new Picture Book and editing another. I am focused on getting them in the best shape to find an agent. I always work from titles. Does anyone else?
HI, I do sometimes. Sometimes the title comes to me and I work from there. Really, it’s kind of different every time!
My computer woes continue!!! Facebook, once again, denied my State of Vermont ID (for the 3rd time)!! What gives with these people???
This month has been busy, busy, busy with all sorts of medical tests for my yearly checkups so I just did the bare minimum, which is very unlike me! I wrote a rough draft of my poem called, “The Kingdom of One,” about a young girl watching as a whale breaches and showering the air with rainbow hued droplets. I also revised an older Storystorm rough draft, that had originally been my poem entitled, “One With the Night.” written from watching my son skating back and forth, back and forth on a small patch of ice he found in the side pasture.
I re-read the whole post and have been thinking about all the titles for each manuscript I have been revising. And some new ones that my kids like are good choices. Thanks
So–two chances left to write a new draft. Pretty much all I’ve done this year is revise, revise, revise! I have ideas–that keep getting submerged in other things that need to get done. So frustrating–but I DO have a pile of polished manuscripts.
November came in like a whirlwind! I did revise and I wrote a draft in October. Moving into November with hope.
I wrote a new story in October but am not satisfied with it. It needs more focus or rhythm. I worked hard on revisions for three other stories. Hopefully, one will be picked up. Now, I need to look more carefully at the titles!
Wrote a Halloween story for a fall writing contest. I find I actually like working within some parameters–it can make things difficult but also easier in a way. I entered the contest despite not being sure it was submitted through the website. Still working, still trying to believe one day all the efforts will get somewhere.
