Jill Corcoran Literary Agency

A little bit about the Jill Corcoran Literary Agency (JCLA) from their website:

“In the past year, Jill Corcoran has grown JCLA into an editorially-focused powerhouse with the addition of Timothy Travaglini, formerly director of children’s acquisitions at Open Road, and editor with G. P. Putnam’s Sons, Walker & Company, and Henry Holt and Company, Elizabeth Bennett, Julie Tibbott and Adah Megged Nuchi, formerly editors with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Reader; Jodell Sadler, formerly of Sadler Literary and founder of KidLit College; Silvia Ariente, formerly from the screenwriting and film production biz, and true-crime author/agent Eve Porinchak.”

This is a unique opportunity to submit to the whole agency. Jill Corcoran will read all submissions and distribute to the agents she thinks will be a good fit for your work. You may hear back from Jill or one of the other agents listed above. The Jill Corcoran Agency is particularly interested in picture book author-illustrators, especially #ownvoices.

Natascha Morris

A little bit about Natascha from the BookEnds website:

“Natascha spent most of her childhood in a leather chair with her nose in a book. Formerly an editorial assistant at Simon & Schuster, her passion for books across genres and her desire to find amazing talent drove her to make the transition from editorial to literary agent.

Her editorial philosophy stems from the idea that all books should be well written and entertaining.  Some of her favorite authors include Molly Idle, Sherwood Smith, Ann Rinaldi, Sabaa Tahir, and Meg Cabot.  A Texas native, Natascha can often be found hunting for the best Tex-Mex in New York. Outside of reading, she is interested in urban farming and cooking.

Natascha is looking for artists that speak to her creatively.”

Here is what Natascha had to say when asked what she is looking for in picture books today:

“I really enjoy lyrical picture books, like Love Is. I am looking for quirky, humorous picture books with a commercial hook and narrative nonfiction. I’m trying to steer clear of quieter picture books at the moment.”

Here some recent references for Natascha:

Please note Little GOLDen Book Members may only submit to ONE of these agents. Please choose the agent/agency who is the best fit for you and your manuscript.
